Field Technician — BESS & Cooling Systems

You will work on battery energy storage sites and the cooling systems that keep them healthy — preventive maintenance, inspections, HVAC service, commissioning support, and rapid-response troubleshooting. You will be the person our customers see in the field, so professionalism and clear communication matter as much as technical skill.

What you'll do

  • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on BESS containers, battery cabinets, and power conversion equipment.
  • Service HVAC and cooling systems: filters, coils, condensate systems, fans, and controls.
  • Support commissioning work: readiness checks, punch-list closure, and energization support alongside OEM and EPC teams.
  • Troubleshoot alarms, faults, communication issues, and cooling problems on live sites.
  • Document findings with photos and clear reports after every visit.

What we look for

  • Hands-on experience in an electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or energy-related trade.
  • A safety-first mindset — lockout/tagout discipline and honest reporting are non-negotiable.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across our service territory.
  • Comfort working independently and communicating clearly with customers and remote support teams.
  • BESS, solar, or utility experience is a plus — but we care more about work ethic and the ability to learn.
